- How is the class conducted? At this time, small class or one-on-one instruction occurs in my home with range time at a my range. Large caliber rifle shooting is taught at a public range.
- Do you supply the targets, firearms and ammunition? I generally do not supply the firearm and ammunition. However, I can for an extra fee. I can supply a holster, eyes and ears free of charge.
- How is the South Carolina CWP class given? The South Carolina CWP class instruction is given in my home. Following that, we will walk to my range to complete the live fire portion of the application. The live fire is performed with the student's handgun and ammunition. The student will need a good quality strong side outside-the-waistband holster and at least 25 rounds of quality factory ammunition as well as eye and ear protection.
- How has the new "permitless (constitutional) carry" law affected CWP? You now have a choice in South Carolina to obtain a permit for CWP of just simply carry a gun without a permit legally. You should consider this carefully as use of deadly force could affect your entire future. Our recommendation is to take the CWP class. The classes are now relatively cheap compared to a potential jail sentence.
