NRA Personal Protection inside the home home defense

 The NRA Personal Protection Inside the Home builds on the skills learned in the NRA Basic Pistol Course.  Students should be experienced shooters.  The topics covered in the course include:

• introduction to defensive shooting including mindset and levels of awareness; mental preparation
• basic defensive pistol skills such as defensive accuracy, flash sight picture, cover or concealment, kneeling while shooting and point shooting
• firearms and the law- taught by a law enforcement professional
• selecting a pistol for self-defense including criteria for selecting the pistol and ammunition
• sport shooting activities and opportunities
